Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments, Banking and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.03%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON), which rose 21.09% or 1.78 points to trade at 10.22 at the close. Meanwhile, Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR) added 7.56% or 0.090 points to end at 1.280 and Alarko Gmyo (IS:ALGYO) was up 6.67% or 1.55 points to 24.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD), which fell 3.73% or 0.260 points to trade at 6.710 at the close. AvivaSA Emeklilik ve Hayat AS (IS:AVISA) declined 3.58% or 1.70 points to end at 45.80 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) was down 3.53% or 0.030 points to 0.820.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 259 to 143 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.03% or 0.30 to $1172.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.76% or 0.46 to hit $59.81 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.48% or 0.30 to trade at $63.19 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.83% to 2.6544, while EUR/TRY fell 0.92% to 2.9739.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 95.45.
