Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.01% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 14.29% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.320 at the close. Meanwhile, Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) added 3.99% or 0.350 points to end at 9.130 and Parsan (IS:PARSN) was up 3.00% or 0.280 points to 9.600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA), which fell 19.87% or 0.300 points to trade at 1.210 at the close. Arcelik (IS:ARCLK) declined 3.57% or 0.72 points to end at 19.44 and Ford Otosan (IS:FROTO) was down 3.26% or 1.14 points to 33.88.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 195 to 133 and 80 ended unchanged.

Shares in Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.99% or 0.350 to 9.130. Shares in Parsan (IS:PARSN) rose to all time highs; rising 3.00% or 0.280 to 9.600.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.14% or 1.75 to $1285.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.15% or 0.56 to hit $48.32 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.49% or 0.75 to trade at $49.60 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.42% to 2.9324, while EUR/TRY fell 0.33% to 3.2870.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.60% at 94.99.
