Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Metal Products & Machinery and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.98%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vestel Beyaz Esya (IS:VESBE), which rose 6.02% or 0.650 points to trade at 11.450 at the close. Meanwhile, Ege Endustri (IS:EGEEN) added 5.71% or 16.00 points to end at 296.00 and AvivaSA Emeklilik ve Hayat AS (IS:AVISA) was up 3.11% or 0.50 points to 16.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teknosa IC Ve Dis Ticaret (IS:TKNSA), which fell 5.79% or 0.390 points to trade at 6.340 at the close. Brisa (IS:BRISA) declined 5.65% or 0.49 points to end at 8.18 and Anadolu Isuzu (IS:ASUZU) was down 5.59% or 1.05 points to 17.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 251 to 150 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ege Endustri (IS:EGEEN) rose to all time highs; rising 5.71% or 16.00 to 296.00. Shares in AvivaSA Emeklilik ve Hayat AS (IS:AVISA) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.11% or 0.50 to 16.60.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.55% or 6.50 to $1181.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.95% or 0.44 to hit $46.82 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.61% or 0.30 to trade at $50.03 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.67% to 2.8986, while EUR/TRY rose 0.48% to 3.2963.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 94.67.
