Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Sports, Banking and Textile & Leather sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 3.70% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.270 at the close. Meanwhile, Dogus Otomotiv (IS:DOAS) added 3.40% or 0.55 points to end at 16.75 and Tofas Oto. Fab. (IS:TOASO) was up 1.91% or 0.35 points to 18.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY), which fell 18.29% or 7.50 points to trade at 33.50 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) declined 11.61% or 0.360 points to end at 2.740 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) was down 10.70% or 0.290 points to 2.420.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 296 to 107 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tofas Oto. Fab. (IS:TOASO) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.91% or 0.35 to 18.65.
Gold for June delivery was up 0.12% or 1.40 to $1205.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.60% or 0.97 to hit $59.75 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.77% or 1.18 to trade at $65.36 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.08% to 2.5905, while EUR/TRY fell 0.64% to 2.8575.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.72% at 96.16.
