Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Information Technology and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gubre Fabrik. (IS:GUBRF), which rose 18.07% or 1.29 points to trade at 8.43 at the close. Meanwhile, Aksa (IS:AKSA) added 5.43% or 0.60 points to end at 11.65 and Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret D (IS:KRDMD) was up 4.55% or 0.070 points to 1.610 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which fell 4.00% or 0.55 points to trade at 13.20 at the close. Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD) declined 3.16% or 0.230 points to end at 7.050 and Aselsan (IS:ASELS) was down 2.88% or 0.45 points to 15.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 242 to 158 and 16 ended unchanged.

Gold for August delivery was down 0.07% or 0.80 to $1154.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.57% or 0.82 to hit $53.02 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.95% or 0.55 to trade at $58.70 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.47% to 2.6335, while EUR/TRY fell 0.35% to 2.9007.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 96.83.
