Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Basic Metals and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which rose 19.73% or 0.580 points to trade at 3.520 at the close. Meanwhile, Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) added 7.95% or 1.08 points to end at 14.67 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was up 5.95% or 0.300 points to 5.340 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nurol Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:NUGYO), which fell 3.46% or 0.170 points to trade at 4.750 at the close. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) declined 3.45% or 0.060 points to end at 1.680 and Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM) was down 3.27% or 0.200 points to 5.910.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 183 to 161 and 61 ended unchanged.
Shares in Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 19.73% or 0.580 to 3.520. Shares in Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) rose to 3-years highs; rising 7.95% or 1.08 to 14.67.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.27% or 3.44 to $1265.46 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.43% or 0.20 to hit $46.28 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.48% or 0.23 to trade at $48.52 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.14% to 3.5217, while EUR/TRY rose 0.09% to 3.9437.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 97.06.
