Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Sports, Holdings & Investments and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON), which rose 8.76% or 0.48 points to trade at 5.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS) added 5.02% or 0.36 points to end at 7.53 and Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) was up 3.74% or 0.080 points to 2.220 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO), which fell 3.12% or 0.14 points to trade at 4.35 at the close. Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS) declined 2.35% or 0.100 points to end at 4.150 and Bizim Magazalari (IS:BIZIM) was down 2.22% or 0.31 points to 13.64.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 209 to 120 and 76 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS) rose to all time highs; up 5.02% or 0.36 to 7.53.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.62% or 22.15 to $1345.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.05% or 0.44 to hit $41.49 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.08% or 0.48 to trade at $43.81 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.23% to 3.0183, while EUR/TRY fell 0.21% to 3.3447.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.51% at 96.24.
