Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Electricity, Information Technology and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER), which rose 6.71% or 1.03 points to trade at 16.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Hurriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacilik AS (IS:HURGZ) added 6.25% or 0.050 points to end at 0.850 and Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) was up 3.55% or 0.520 points to 15.170 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN), which fell 19.80% or 0.800 points to trade at 3.240 at the close. Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) declined 4.87% or 0.330 points to end at 6.450 and Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS:TOASO) was down 4.78% or 0.93 points to 18.54.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 240 to 111 and 55 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.05% or 12.90 to $1213.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.91% or 0.55 to hit $60.12 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.84% or 0.59 to trade at $70.06 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.39% to 5.4817, while EUR/TRY rose 0.07% to 6.2239.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 96.56.
