Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 3.37% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Sekerbank (IS:SKBNK), which rose 11.04% or 0.170 points to trade at 1.710 at the close. Meanwhile, Konya Cimento (IS:KONYA) added 7.27% or 20.50 points to end at 302.50 and Anadolu Cam (IS:ANACM) was up 5.71% or 0.120 points to 2.220 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gubre Fabrik. (IS:GUBRF), which fell 1.43% or 0.09 points to trade at 6.19 at the close. Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) declined 0.49% or 0.010 points to end at 2.040 and Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD) was down 0.46% or 0.030 points to 6.450.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 312 to 83 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Anadolu Cam (IS:ANACM) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.71% or 0.120 to 2.220.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.35% or 4.00 to $1132.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.33% or 1.06 to hit $46.60 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 3.13% or 1.50 to trade at $49.63 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.15% to 2.9851, while EUR/TRY fell 0.37% to 3.3417.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 96.15.
