Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Real Estate Investments, Holdings & Investments and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.41% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN), which rose 6.76% or 0.300 points to trade at 4.740 at the close. Meanwhile, Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL) added 4.92% or 0.55 points to end at 11.73 and Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO) was up 4.80% or 0.22 points to 4.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ayen Enerji (IS:AYEN), which fell 1.77% or 0.070 points to trade at 3.890 at the close. Anadolu Efes (IS:AEFES) declined 1.52% or 0.30 points to end at 19.44 and Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) was down 1.12% or 0.020 points to 1.770.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 306 to 47 and 52 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 1.21% or 16.05 to $1347.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.45% or 1.11 to hit $46.45 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.92% or 0.90 to trade at $47.73 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.41% to 2.9436, while EUR/TRY fell 0.05% to 3.3079.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 95.15.
