Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Metal Products & Machinery and Textile & Leather sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.73%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vestel Beyaz Esya (IS:VESBE), which rose 11.95% or 1.190 points to trade at 11.150 at the close. Meanwhile, Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA) added 9.85% or 0.130 points to end at 1.450 and Vestel (IS:VESTL) was up 9.28% or 0.590 points to 6.950 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Celebi (IS:CLEBI), which fell 2.41% or 0.56 points to trade at 22.64 at the close. Tumosan Motor Ve Traktor (IS:TMSN) declined 1.43% or 0.110 points to end at 7.590 and Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) was down 1.23% or 0.010 points to 0.800.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 278 to 62 and 65 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.12% or 1.65 to $1359.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 3.37% or 1.40 to hit $40.20 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 3.10% or 1.35 to trade at $42.18 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.11% to 2.9910, while EUR/TRY rose 0.07% to 3.3435.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 95.60.
