Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.18%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY), which rose 6.08% or 1.26 points to trade at 22.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) added 4.95% or 0.41 points to end at 8.70 and Adel Kalemcilik (IS:ADEL) was up 4.26% or 0.75 points to 18.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vakif Gmyo (IS:VKGYO), which fell 1.78% or 0.040 points to trade at 2.210 at the close. Celebi (IS:CLEBI) declined 1.04% or 0.22 points to end at 20.86 and Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) was down 0.91% or 0.010 points to 1.090.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 239 to 89 and 78 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.25% or 3.35 to $1331.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.29% or 1.01 to hit $45.16 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.54% or 0.72 to trade at $47.55 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.26% to 2.9450, while EUR/TRY fell 0.26% to 3.2847.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 95.74.
