Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Telecoms and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.98%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ulker Biskuvi (IS:ULKER), which rose 6.49% or 1.08 points to trade at 17.71 at the close. Meanwhile, Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN) added 6.22% or 0.42 points to end at 7.17 and Turk Telekom (IS:TTKOM) was up 4.27% or 0.23 points to 5.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trabzonspor Sportif (IS:TSPOR), which fell 2.18% or 0.070 points to trade at 3.140 at the close. Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) declined 2.18% or 0.050 points to end at 2.240 and Otokar (IS:OTKAR) was down 2.15% or 2.50 points to 113.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 199 to 122 and 83 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.08% or 0.95 to $1222.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 3.88% or 1.68 to hit $45.00 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 3.49% or 1.55 to trade at $45.98 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.01% to 3.2900, while EUR/TRY fell 0.12% to 3.5293.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 100.23.
