Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Tourism, Basic Metals and Textile & Leather sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.64% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 8.33% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.390 at the close. Meanwhile, Izmir Demir Celik (IS:IZMDC) added 6.10% or 0.180 points to end at 3.130 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) was up 3.87% or 0.190 points to 5.100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD), which fell 3.13% or 0.230 points to trade at 7.130 at the close. Bim Magazalar (IS:BIMAS) declined 2.04% or 1.10 points to end at 52.75 and Anadolu Efes (IS:AEFES) was down 1.79% or 0.38 points to 20.82.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 221 to 107 and 75 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.58% or 7.05 to $1204.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.16% or 0.61 to hit $53.42 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.39% or 0.77 to trade at $56.35 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.25% to 3.7826, while EUR/TRY fell 0.15% to 4.0689.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 99.84.
