Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Electricity, Leasing & Factoring and Tourism sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.58%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME), which rose 5.00% or 0.130 points to trade at 2.730 at the close. Meanwhile, AK Enerji (IS:AKENR) added 4.85% or 0.050 points to end at 1.080 and Borusan Mannesmann (IS:BRSAN) was up 4.03% or 0.31 points to 8.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS), which fell 2.80% or 0.17 points to trade at 5.91 at the close. Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN) declined 2.55% or 0.18 points to end at 6.87 and Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA) was down 2.05% or 0.050 points to 2.390.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 195 to 129 and 85 ended unchanged.
Shares in Borusan Mannesmann (IS:BRSAN) rose to 3-years highs; rising 4.03% or 0.31 to 8.01.
Gold for August delivery was up 0.36% or 4.45 to $1247.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.08% or 1.01 to hit $49.63 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.65% or 0.82 to trade at $50.46 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.20% to 2.9085, while EUR/TRY rose 0.11% to 3.3032.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 94.03.
