Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Banking and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Hurriyet Gzt. (IS:HURGZ), which rose 6.25% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.850 at the close. Meanwhile, Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) added 3.90% or 0.030 points to end at 0.800 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) was up 3.03% or 0.010 points to 0.340 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY), which fell 6.35% or 2.50 points to trade at 36.90 at the close. Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD) declined 3.06% or 0.180 points to end at 5.700 and Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL) was down 2.60% or 0.34 points to 12.72.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 182 to 152 and 71 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.07% or 0.95 to $1275.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 3.18% or 1.55 to hit $47.15 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 3.41% or 1.73 to trade at $48.95 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.37% to 3.0952, while EUR/TRY fell 0.61% to 3.3980.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 98.36.
