Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Goltas Cimento (IS:GOLTS), which rose 9.89% or 8.90 points to trade at 98.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Alarko Gmyo (IS:ALGYO) added 3.80% or 1.54 points to end at 42.06 and Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO) was up 3.77% or 0.17 points to 4.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD), which fell 3.06% or 0.190 points to trade at 6.010 at the close. Carrefoursa Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA) declined 2.80% or 0.23 points to end at 7.99 and Gubre Fabrik. (IS:GUBRF) was down 2.65% or 0.16 points to 5.87.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 167 to 166 and 76 ended unchanged.
Shares in Goltas Cimento (IS:GOLTS) rose to 5-year highs; up 9.89% or 8.90 to 98.90. Shares in Alarko Gmyo (IS:ALGYO) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.80% or 1.54 to 42.06. Shares in Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO) rose to all time highs; up 3.77% or 0.17 to 4.68.
Gold for June delivery was down 1.13% or 14.10 to $1236.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.95% or 0.84 to hit $44.02 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 2.00% or 0.89 to trade at $45.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.40% to 2.8438, while EUR/TRY fell 0.13% to 3.1955.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 95.05.
