Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Textile & Leather and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO), which rose 5.23% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.810 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) added 5.12% or 0.88 points to end at 18.06 and Alarko Gmyo (IS:ALGYO) was up 3.90% or 1.52 points to 40.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turk Telekom (IS:TTKOM), which fell 5.57% or 0.39 points to trade at 6.61 at the close. Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) declined 4.66% or 1.02 points to end at 20.88 and Bizim Magazalari (IS:BIZIM) was down 3.77% or 0.65 points to 16.59.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 168 to 166 and 76 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alarko Gmyo (IS:ALGYO) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.90% or 1.52 to 40.52.
Gold for June delivery was down 0.07% or 0.90 to $1253.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.68% or 0.30 to hit $43.88 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.96% or 0.44 to trade at $45.36 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.48% to 2.8262, while EUR/TRY rose 0.63% to 3.1987.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 94.45.
