Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Sports and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Fenerbahce Futbol (IS:FENER), which rose 3.19% or 1.38 points to trade at 44.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Bagfas (IS:BAGFS) added 2.72% or 0.43 points to end at 16.24 and Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO) was up 2.60% or 0.13 points to 5.13 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Goltas Cimento (IS:GOLTS), which fell 3.88% or 3.50 points to trade at 86.65 at the close. Good-Year (IS:GOODY) declined 3.44% or 5.00 points to end at 140.50 and Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD) was down 2.74% or 0.170 points to 6.030.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 208 to 128 and 75 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bagfas (IS:BAGFS) rose to 3-years highs; rising 2.72% or 0.43 to 16.24. Shares in Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO) rose to all time highs; rising 2.60% or 0.13 to 5.13.
Gold for June delivery was up 1.40% or 17.55 to $1267.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.64% or 0.29 to hit $45.62 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.77% or 0.36 to trade at $47.29 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.28% to 2.8111, while EUR/TRY fell 0.23% to 3.1870.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.48% at 93.93.
