Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Textile & Leather, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Dogus Otomotiv Servis ve Ticaret AS (IS:DOAS), which rose 16.55% or 0.71 points to trade at 5.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) added 8.71% or 0.310 points to end at 3.870 and Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) was up 7.33% or 4.10 points to 60.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS), which fell 9.08% or 0.690 points to trade at 6.910 at the close. Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN) declined 7.50% or 0.090 points to end at 1.110 and Vakif Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:VKGYO) was down 7.06% or 0.120 points to 1.580.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 235 to 129 and 42 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.34% or 4.20 to $1218.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $66.24 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.18% or 0.14 to trade at $76.05 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 2.49% to 5.6113, while EUR/TRY rose 2.34% to 6.3603.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 96.78.
