Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Metal Products & Machinery and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK), which rose 4.24% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.230 at the close. Meanwhile, Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) added 4.21% or 0.080 points to end at 1.980 and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) was up 3.84% or 0.33 points to 8.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turkiye Is Bankasi AS Class C (IS:ISCTR), which fell 6.43% or 0.370 points to trade at 5.380 at the close. Turkiye Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari AS (IS:SISE) declined 5.59% or 0.370 points to end at 6.250 and Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF) was down 4.09% or 0.14 points to 3.28.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 213 to 147 and 48 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.03% or 0.35 to $1318.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.38% or 0.21 to hit $54.35 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.13% or 0.08 to trade at $62.59 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.21% to 5.2043, while EUR/TRY fell 0.43% to 5.9390.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 95.797.
