Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.70%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which rose 0.74% or 1.4 points to trade at 190.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs) added 0.41% or 0.9 points to end at 218.2 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was down 0.08% or 0.2 points to 247.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 3.71% or 1.28 points to trade at 33.26 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 3.45% or 3.70 points to end at 103.50 and Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) was down 3.41% or 11.4 points to 322.7.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 253 to 183 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) fell to 5-year lows; falling 3.71% or 1.28 to 33.26.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.56% or 0.22 to $39.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.27% or 0.12 to hit $43.33 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.31% or 14.90 to trade at $1123.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.02% to 9.6419, while USD/SEK rose 1.21% to 8.4699.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.98% at 94.84.
