Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 1.41%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 4.84% or 4.20 points to trade at 90.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 1.46% or 2.40 points to end at 167.10 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was up 0.12% or 0.20 points to 173.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa), which fell 3.97% or 3.8 points to trade at 92.0 at the close. Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) declined 3.28% or 5.6 points to end at 164.9 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) was down 2.72% or 3.6 points to 128.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 405 to 156 and 61 ended unchanged.
Shares in Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.97% or 3.8 to 92.0.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.73% or 0.34 to $46.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.50% or 0.24 to hit $48.20 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.63% or 8.55 to trade at $1367.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.05% to 9.4458, while USD/SEK rose 0.02% to 8.5248.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 96.26.
