Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 1.17% or 6.00 points to trade at 517.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) added 0.67% or 1.7 points to end at 254.6 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 0.18% or 0.5 points to 272.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which fell 3.39% or 6.10 points to trade at 174.10 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 3.24% or 4.40 points to end at 131.50 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was down 3.23% or 0.96 points to 28.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 389 to 185 and 44 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.84% or 0.39 to $45.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.30% or 0.62 to hit $46.98 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.37% or 4.75 to trade at $1270.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.20% to 9.3195, while USD/SEK rose 0.58% to 8.1876.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 94.06.
