Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 9.03% or 2.30 points to trade at 27.77 at the close. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) added 1.05% or 5.5 points to end at 528.5 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was up 1.02% or 1.8 points to 178.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which fell 4.84% or 9.00 points to trade at 177.10 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 2.47% or 1.85 points to end at 72.95 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was down 2.26% or 3.40 points to 146.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 289 to 276 and 68 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.88% or 0.84 to $43.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.86% or 0.86 to hit $45.34 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.64% or 8.55 to trade at $1322.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.23% to 9.4974, while USD/SEK rose 0.83% to 8.6639.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.62% at 97.54.
