Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 2.60%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 5.63% or 2.42 points to trade at 45.44 at the close. Meanwhile, Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) added 5.41% or 1.93 points to end at 37.62 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) was up 5.10% or 3.80 points to 78.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 1.64% or 0.31 points to trade at 18.57 at the close. ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to end at 164.2 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 1.22% or 1.5 points to 124.3.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 479 to 109 and 44 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.81% or 0.84 to $47.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.63% or 0.78 to hit $48.55 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.50% or 6.65 to trade at $1318.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.08% to 9.4378, while USD/SEK fell 0.16% to 8.5440.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 96.42.
