Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.80%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 5.95% or 1.61 points to trade at 28.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 4.61% or 10.4 points to end at 236.0 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was up 4.15% or 4.30 points to 107.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb), which fell 0.19% or 0.3 points to trade at 153.7 at the close. Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) added 0.49% or 0.9 points to end at 184.9 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 0.66% or 3.5 points to 531.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 346 to 96 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.24% or 0.11 to $45.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.47% or 0.23 to hit $48.45 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.11% or 12.50 to trade at $1114.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.69% to 9.3686, while USD/SEK rose 0.03% to 8.3889.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 96.49.
