Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.46% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which rose 1.92% or 9.4 points to trade at 500.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 1.79% or 2.5 points to end at 142.0 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was up 1.32% or 2.2 points to 168.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 4.76% or 4.05 points to trade at 81.00 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 3.60% or 1.34 points to end at 35.91 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was down 0.64% or 1.10 points to 169.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 367 to 236 and 66 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 3.52% or 1.69 to $46.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 3.37% or 1.65 to hit $47.35 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.80% or 9.55 to trade at $1179.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.21% to 9.7810, while USD/SEK fell 0.15% to 9.2355.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 101.56.
