Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.30% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 1.84% or 0.61 points to trade at 33.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) added 1.15% or 2.8 points to end at 246.0 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was up 1.04% or 1.3 points to 126.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 0.88% or 1.40 points to trade at 157.80 at the close. Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) declined 0.79% or 1.7 points to end at 212.3 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was down 0.69% or 3.5 points to 501.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 374 to 222 and 62 ended unchanged.
Shares in Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.04% or 1.3 to 126.9.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.88% or 0.40 to $45.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.73% or 0.34 to hit $46.15 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.64% or 7.75 to trade at $1209.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.10% to 9.8059, while USD/SEK rose 0.24% to 9.2553.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 101.34.
