Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Consumer Goods and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Abertis Infr (MC:ABE), which rose 3.08% or 0.445 points to trade at 14.900 at the close. Meanwhile, Enagas (MC:ENAG) added 1.18% or 0.275 points to end at 23.555 and Iberdrola (MC:IBE) was up 0.55% or 0.035 points to 6.445 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arcel. Mittal (MC:MTS), which fell 2.94% or 0.248 points to trade at 8.192 at the close. Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) declined 2.71% or 0.585 points to end at 21.005 and Acerinox (MC:ACX) was down 1.95% or 0.265 points to 13.340.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 111 to 59 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Abertis Infr (MC:ABE) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.08% or 0.445 to 14.900.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.96% or 11.85 to $1245.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 1.64% or 0.80 to hit $48.11 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.51% or 0.78 to trade at $50.84 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.69% to 1.0813, while EUR/GBP fell 0.36% to 0.8659.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.66% at 99.50.
