Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 1.32%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Banco Santander (MC:SAN), which rose 2.88% or 0.114 points to trade at 4.075 at the close. Meanwhile, Arcel. Mittal (MC:MTS) added 2.48% or 0.101 points to end at 4.176 and Banco Popular (MC:POP) was up 2.09% or 0.043 points to 2.101 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Indra A (MC:IDR), which fell 1.17% or 0.120 points to trade at 10.180 at the close. Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) declined 0.43% or 0.175 points to end at 40.140 and Acerinox (MC:ACX) was down 0.32% or 0.031 points to 9.802.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 118 to 69 and 30 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was down 0.34% or 4.35 to $1262.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.37% or 1.03 to hit $44.47 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 3.78% or 1.65 to trade at $45.28 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.1384, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.7881.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 94.18.
