Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Multi Investment and Petrochemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Trade Union Cooperative Insurance (SE:8170), which rose 9.92% or 1.80 points to trade at 19.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (SE:1213) added 9.87% or 1.15 points to end at 12.80 and Saudi Indian Company Insurance (SE:8110) was up 9.34% or 1.55 points to 18.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nama Chemicals Co. (SE:2210), which fell 8.14% or 0.35 points to trade at 3.95 at the close. Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) declined 5.45% or 2.85 points to end at 49.40 and BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270) was down 4.04% or 1.10 points to 26.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 102 to 54 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Trade Union Cooperative Insurance (SE:8170) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.92% or 1.80 to 19.95. Shares in Nama Chemicals Co. (SE:2210) fell to 5-year lows; falling 8.14% or 0.35 to 3.95.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.09% or 0.05 to $53.71 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.11% or 0.06 to hit $56.83 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.73% or 8.65 to trade at $1172.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.72% to 3.9500, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7509.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.77% at 102.17.
