Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Agriculture & Food and Industrial Investment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi RE Cooperative Reinsurance (SE:8200), which rose 4.69% or 0.30 points to trade at 6.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Arriyadh Development Co. (SE:4150) added 3.78% or 0.80 points to end at 21.95 and Alujain Corporation (SE:2170) was up 3.61% or 0.50 points to 14.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180), which fell 4.29% or 1.80 points to trade at 40.20 at the close. Herfy Food Services Co (SE:6002) declined 3.16% or 2.50 points to end at 76.50 and National Gypsum Company (SE:2090) was down 3.15% or 0.45 points to 13.85.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 99 to 46 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.56% or 0.71 to $44.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.11% or 0.52 to hit $46.14 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.15% or 15.30 to trade at $1317.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.27% to 4.1225, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 97.27.
