Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Retail, Industrial Investment and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 5.21% to hit a new 3-years low.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Wataniya Insurance Company (SE:8300), which rose 10.00% or 1.40 points to trade at 15.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Alkhaleej Training & Education Co (SE:4290) added 9.42% or 1.24 points to end at 14.40 and Food Products Co. (SE:2100) was up 1.29% or 0.14 points to 11.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Industrial Export Co (SE:4140), which fell 10.00% or 4.30 points to trade at 38.70 at the close. Saudi Industrial Services Co. (SE:2190) declined 9.99% or 1.52 points to end at 13.70 and Riyad Bank (SE:1010) was down 9.99% or 1.58 points to 14.24.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 188 to 8 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi Industrial Export Co (SE:4140) fell to 52-week lows; falling 10.00% or 4.30 to 38.70. Shares in Riyad Bank (SE:1010) fell to 52-week lows; losing 9.99% or 1.58 to 14.24.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 6.98% or 2.24 to $29.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 10.01% or 3.39 to hit $30.46 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 3.20% or 48.55 to trade at $1468.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.26% to 4.1772, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7531.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 98.400.
