Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Petrochemicals and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.63%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310), which rose 9.66% or 0.85 points to trade at 9.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Indian Company Insurance (SE:8110) added 9.62% or 1.50 points to end at 17.10 and Solidarity Saudi Takaful Co (SE:8290) was up 9.62% or 0.75 points to 8.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eastern Province Cement Co. (SE:3080), which fell 9.52% or 3.40 points to trade at 32.30 at the close. Hail Cement Company (SE:3001) declined 4.87% or 0.65 points to end at 12.70 and Halwani Bros (SE:6001) was down 3.85% or 2.50 points to 62.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 102 to 48 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.01% or 0.77 to $39.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.81% or 0.72 to hit $40.57 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.27% or 3.30 to trade at $1234.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.13% to 4.2417, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 94.98.
