Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 2.10%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Nos SGPS SA (LISBON:NOS), which fell 0.14% or 0.0100 points to trade at 7.0910 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (LISBON:SEM) fell 0.24% or 0.0300 points to end at 12.4000 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LISBON:CTT) was down 0.26% or 0.0240 points to 9.3100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banif SA (LISBON:BANIF), which fell 9.80% or 0.0005 points to trade at 0.0046 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LISBON:GALP) declined 4.37% or 0.4100 points to end at 8.9800 and Banco BPI (LISBON:BBPI) was down 4.37% or 0.0400 points to 0.8760.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 43 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banif SA (LISBON:BANIF) fell to all time lows; down 9.80% or 0.0005 to 0.0046.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.73% or 0.88 to $49.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.45% or 0.68 to hit $46.07 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.40% or 4.50 to trade at $1120.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.1145, while EUR/GBP rose 0.59% to 0.7333.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 96.25.
