Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 1.50%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were J. Martins SGPS (LISBON:JMT), which fell 0.10% or 0.0125 points to trade at 12.3275 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (LISBON:SEM) fell 0.45% or 0.0575 points to end at 12.8525 and Impresa SGPS (LISBON:IMPA) was down 0.58% or 0.01 points to 0.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LISBON:PHRA), which fell 6.90% or 0.0280 points to trade at 0.3780 at the close. Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA) declined 3.58% or 0.0845 points to end at 2.2755 and Banco BPI (LISBON:BBPI) was down 3.20% or 0.0445 points to 1.3455.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 61 to 6.
Shares in Pharol SGPS SA (LISBON:PHRA) fell to all time lows; down 6.90% or 0.0280 to 0.3780. Shares in Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.58% or 0.0845 to 2.2755.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.16% or 0.76 to $64.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.04% or 0.63 to hit $60.14 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1179.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1277, while EUR/GBP fell 0.02% to 0.7250.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 94.84.
