Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were REN (LS:RENE), which rose 1.60% or 0.0460 points to trade at 2.9280 at the close. Meanwhile, Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 1.49% or 0.0020 points to end at 0.1360 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 0.72% or 0.048 points to 6.750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which fell 2.53% or 0.0970 points to trade at 3.7380 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 1.76% or 0.1950 points to end at 10.8550 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was down 1.40% or 0.0940 points to 6.6160.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 26 to 23 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in REN (LS:RENE) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.60% or 0.0460 to 2.9280.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 4.17% or 1.68 to $38.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 3.91% or 1.50 to hit $36.84 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.41% or 17.40 to trade at $1218.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1391, while EUR/GBP rose 1.12% to 0.8014.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 94.64.
