Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 5.13% or 0.4200 points to trade at 8.6100 at the close. Meanwhile, Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:RAMA) added 1.02% or 0.100 points to end at 9.950 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 0.12% or 0.0040 points to 3.3300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 4.41% or 0.0072 points to trade at 0.1560 at the close. Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) declined 2.47% or 0.0220 points to end at 0.8675 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was down 2.20% or 0.0054 points to 0.2399.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.41% or 0.0072 to 0.1560. Shares in Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.47% or 0.0220 to 0.8675.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.46% or 1.26 to $85.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.17% or 1.66 to hit $74.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1202.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.27% to 1.1508, while EUR/GBP fell 0.30% to 0.8843.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 95.44.
