Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 2.77%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 5.23% or 0.0820 points to trade at 1.6490 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 3.90% or 0.0063 points to end at 0.1679 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 3.13% or 0.0250 points to 0.8240 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which fell 1.09% or 0.0550 points to trade at 5.0130 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) declined 0.70% or 0.063 points to end at 8.920 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was down 0.43% or 0.0180 points to 4.1270.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 27 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.51% or 0.29 to $56.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.49% or 0.26 to hit $53.80 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.45 to trade at $1220.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.22% to 1.0783, while EUR/GBP rose 0.33% to 0.8615.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 99.63.
