Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 1.76%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 5.77% or 0.0649 points to trade at 1.1900 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP (LS:EDP) added 3.60% or 0.0970 points to end at 2.7920 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 3.02% or 0.1710 points to 5.8350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which fell 0.72% or 0.1050 points to trade at 14.5650 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 0.57% or 0.0010 points to end at 0.1740 and Montepio (LS:MPIO) was 0.00% or 0.000 points to 0.430.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 39 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for February delivery was down 1.75% or 0.96 to $53.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.83% or 0.95 to hit $50.84 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.53% or 6.25 to trade at $1170.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.0705, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8453.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.43% at 100.59.
