Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 4.23% or 0.0310 points to trade at 0.7640 at the close. Meanwhile, Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) added 4.21% or 0.610 points to end at 15.110 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 1.67% or 0.0280 points to 1.7080 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP), which fell 0.70% or 0.0950 points to trade at 13.4900 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 0.43% or 0.0007 points to end at 0.1630 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was down 0.39% or 0.040 points to 10.100.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 13 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) rose to all time highs; up 4.21% or 0.610 to 15.110.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.14% or 0.07 to $51.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.65% or 0.32 to hit $48.99 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.55 to trade at $1233.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.0734, while EUR/GBP rose 0.39% to 0.8696.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 100.21.
