Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Utilities and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 3.26% or 0.0560 points to trade at 1.7720 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP (LS:EDP) added 0.98% or 0.0280 points to end at 2.8820 and REN (LS:RENE) was up 0.91% or 0.0230 points to 2.5590 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which fell 2.16% or 0.0670 points to trade at 3.0280 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) declined 1.83% or 0.0470 points to end at 2.5260 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was down 1.58% or 0.1850 points to 11.5500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 24 to 19 and 13 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.29% or 0.15 to $51.96 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.36% or 0.18 to hit $50.36 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.32% or 4.05 to trade at $1257.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.26% to 1.1039, while EUR/GBP rose 0.06% to 0.9030.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.35% at 97.65.
