Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae (LS:YSO), which rose 3.17% or 0.0240 points to trade at 0.7810 at the close. Meanwhile, Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) added 3.16% or 0.1060 points to end at 3.4560 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 3.12% or 0.3700 points to 12.2250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 4.10% or 0.0080 points to trade at 0.1870 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 1.51% or 0.0187 points to end at 1.2213 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 0.55% or 0.0700 points to 12.5950.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 27 to 22 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 1.02% or 0.50 to $48.40 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.80% or 0.87 to hit $47.37 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.15% or 1.85 to trade at $1211.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.0624, while EUR/GBP rose 0.61% to 0.8559.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 101.11.
