Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were EDP (LS:EDP), which rose 2.68% or 0.0800 points to trade at 3.0680 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (LS:SEM) added 1.98% or 0.3600 points to end at 18.5600 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was up 1.98% or 0.2850 points to 14.6500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which fell 0.88% or 0.100 points to trade at 11.250 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 0.77% or 0.0020 points to end at 0.2590 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was down 0.69% or 0.0340 points to 4.9200.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 22 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.13% or 0.10 to $74.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $68.22 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.39% or 5.10 to trade at $1323.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.2112, while EUR/GBP rose 1.05% to 0.8787.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 91.41.
