Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining & Oil, Banking & Financials and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Dmci Holdings (PS:DMC), which rose 1.96% or 0.220 points to trade at 11.420 at the close. Meanwhile, Jollibee Foods (PS:JFC) added 0.49% or 0.900 points to end at 185.900 and Ayala Corp (PS:AC) was up 0.34% or 2.500 points to 727.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lt Group (PS:LTG), which fell 3.15% or 0.400 points to trade at 12.280 at the close. Metropolitan B (PS:MBT) declined 2.38% or 1.95 points to end at 79.95 and Semirara Minin (PS:SCC) was down 2.18% or 2.9000 points to 130.0000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 107 to 71 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.22% or 2.50 to $1118.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.80% or 1.29 to hit $44.76 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.04% or 0.49 to trade at $48.12 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.04% to 7.3699, while USD/PHP fell 0.04% to 46.915.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 96.10.
