Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Holding Firms and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT), which rose 3.33% or 2.050 points to trade at 63.550 at the close. Meanwhile, BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) added 2.40% or 2.80 points to end at 119.50 and Petron Corp (PS:PCOR) was up 2.32% or 0.260 points to 11.460 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM), which fell 2.54% or 0.150 points to trade at 5.750 at the close. Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) declined 2.18% or 48.000 points to end at 2150.000 and Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) was down 1.87% or 4.800 points to 252.200.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 102 to 82 and 40 ended unchanged.
Shares in BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.40% or 2.80 to 119.50.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.84% or 11.35 to $1358.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.47% or 0.63 to hit $42.14 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.36% or 0.61 to trade at $44.37 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.09% to 7.0365, while USD/PHP fell 0.33% to 46.727.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 95.76.
