Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Mining and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Bco Continenta (LM:CON), which rose 1.56% or 0.050 points to trade at 3.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) added 1.11% or 0.110 points to end at 10.010 and Edelnor (LM:EDN) was up 0.82% or 0.040 points to 4.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which fell 7.22% or 0.350 points to trade at 4.850 at the close. Sider (LM:SID) declined 5.18% or 0.007 points to end at 0.128 and Panoro (LM:PML) was 0% or 0 points to 0.080.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 12 to 8 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sider (LM:SID) fell to all time lows; losing 5.18% or 0.007 to 0.128. Shares in Edelnor (LM:EDN) rose to 52-week lows; up 0.82% or 0.040 to 4.900.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.94% or 0.88 to $46.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.20% or 1.09 to hit $50.65 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.54% or 6.10 to trade at $1133.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.45% to 3.2534, while EUR/PEN rose 0.42% to 3.6635.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 95.87.
