Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Mining, Industrials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 2.87%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 17.14% or 0.300 points to trade at 2.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) added 11.26% or 1.690 points to end at 16.700 and Sider (LM:SID) was up 10.09% or 0.011 points to 0.120 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Inversiones Centenario SAA (LM:ICE), which fell 14.29% or 0.800 points to trade at 4.800 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) declined 1.11% or 0.002 points to end at 0.178 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was down 0.23% or 0.010 points to 4.420.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 25 to 5 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Inversiones Centenario SAA (LM:ICE) fell to 52-week lows; losing 14.29% or 0.800 to 4.800.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.69% or 0.55 to $31.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.60% or 0.56 to hit $34.48 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 1.31% or 14.90 to trade at $1156.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.29% to 3.4775, while EUR/PEN rose 2.16% to 3.8993.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.75% at 96.52.
