Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Mining, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 1.14%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 6.52% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.245 at the close. Meanwhile, Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 5.36% or 0.030 points to end at 0.590 and Sider (LM:SID) was up 4.00% or 0.012 points to 0.312 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which fell 3.56% or 0.016 points to trade at 0.434 at the close. Milpo (LM:MIL) declined 0.92% or 0.020 points to end at 2.160 and Intergroup (LM:IFS) was down 0.77% or 0.230 points to 29.770.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 20 to 8 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.12% or 1.04 to $50.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.29% or 0.15 to hit $51.10 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.02% or 13.00 to trade at $1257.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2750, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7458.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.51% at 93.33.
